3D Printers from Makism

This post brought to you by Makism. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard of 3D printing?

Imagine creating a solid object of any shape from any digital model by layering materials successively to create that particular shape. This kind of printing technology is called 3D printing and has been used for prototyping and distributed manufacturing.

Although 3D printing has been around three decades ago, it is only recently that 3D printers became widely accessible commercially. They were quite expensive before but as more and more companies develop and sell these machines, their price fell considerably.

Among the manufacturers of 3D printers in the market right now is the Makism 3D Corp. (MDDD). It is a company that is based in Cambridge (United Kingdom) and has been using an innovative and technologically advanced approach in manufacturing professional and consumer grade 3D printers for hobbyists and professionals alike.

The Wideboy is considered by Makism as their flagship product. This was designed and built in the United Kingdom and it features high quality and reliably engineered components. It is also ready to use right out of the box. I have read that Wideboy is designed to make printing 3D just as easy as printing a document from an inkjet printer.

Among the Makism 3D Products available in the market right now are Wideboy, Wideboy Pro and Wideboy Mega. These Makism 3D Printers cost $1,500, $2,500 and $4,000 respectively. All of them have heated bed, less than 35 microns of layer resolution, filament size of 1.75mm and can be connected using wife and usb.

Have you thought of a project where you could put a 3D printer to use? Would you consider buying one for you or your company?
