I was bloghopping earlier today when I read about an article written by a blogger friend, Mae, who claims that one of her posts was published in toto on another site. She plans to file a case against the other blogger.
Mae was given credit in the article but she claims that she was not contacted by the other blogger and she didn’t give anyone permission to publish her articles word-for-word.
Do you think this kind of a legal case will prosper? Is it even feasible? If you were Mae, what would you do?

that is quite sad..i would suggest if she might want to contact first the admin to remove the article…if toto won’t remove it, then she can probably take another action..but filing a case can be very stressful and expensive too…hope it will be settled soon!

it’s an aspect of the internet that i’m not really fond of. since it’s easier to share information, it’s easier to copy them too.

Not that I am doing it but I thought that practice is generally allowed if the credit to the work is given to you and especially if there is a link to the blog.
