Facebook: The New #1 Website According to Alexa

While I was doing my blog hopping today, I noticed one thing! Facebook is now the number one website in the world wide web, according to Alexa. This spot has been held by Google until yesterday (I know because yesterday, Facebook was still in number 2) and even in the previous years.

The 20 top sites according to Alexa as of today are the following:

  1. Facebook
  2. Google
  3. YouTube
  4. Yahoo
  5. Baidu.com
  6. Wikipedia
  7. Windows Live
  8. Twitter
  9. QQ.com
  10. Amazon
  11. Blogspot
  12. Google India
  13. Taobao
  14. Linked In
  15. Yahoo Japan
  16. MSN
  17. Sina.com.cn
  18. Google Hongkong
  19. Bing
  20. Google Germany

In the United States of America, Google is still the most visited website but globally, Facebook is now more popular than the giant search engine company.

wow! congrats to facebook. but I doubt if investors will have more faith on facebook stocks because of its #1 spot on alexa. facebook should clean up their act, privacy issues is not something facebook should be proud of. I wonder what baidu.com is?
