When I was in the hospital because of a major surgery, I was very scared because I have not been into a major operation in my whole entire life. My family felt the same too. They were worried about me. But everything and all the worries were lifted to God. The specialists, doctors were there to help. I wondered how many patients undergo major surgeries and organ transplants in a month.
In the medical field, highest level to all biological products are provided. Someone I know said that even stem-cells and chord blood are stored in a cryogenic freezer. This is to store these type of biological specimen in a very low temperature. The purpose is to stop the possibility of reaction that will lead to cell death. These type of freezers store huge capacity of samples.
Another type of nitrogen freezer that can provide cell culture storage is a ln2 freezer. This is very beneficial to the medical field because these not only help preserve the biological samples but also protect them from possible damage too – and so my daughter’s chord blood is stored and protected.
I am very thankful that the high medical technological advancement benefited me and my precious daughter.
