I’ve been using the iPhone for some time now but all I know is that it’s from Apple Inc. I didn’t know the people behind it so I was surprised when the name Steve Jobs became popular recently especially on Facebook, blogs and tech news. Seems that almost everyone is talking about him – if not mourning.
Curious (because I really have no idea about him), I researched online about the life and works of Steve Jobs. Indeed he was a visionary and a man of innovation. He co-founded Apple Inc. with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne at the young age of 21. He invented (or co-invented) some 338 US patents and applications throughout his lifetime. A few techie gadgets that we’re using right now are probably his brain child – from gadgets like MAC, iPod, iPad and iPhone to those apps and features like iPhone 4 Wallpaper, the soon to be released iPhone4S video and other stuff.
It’s too saddening to hear about the passing away of such a brilliant person at a relatively young age. He could had have contributed more if not for his untimely demise. But there’s also one thing that this event has shown – no matter how rich and powerful you are, when God turns off the switch of your life, there’s nothing one can do.
RIP Steve Jobs. Thanks for changing our world.
