If you’re a web master or blogger searching for a feature-rich Magazine-style theme for your blog, look no further. I would like to present to you the Aggregate Theme from Elegant Themes.
The Aggregate theme is the theme that I used when I set up the site, Contest Fan. It took me less than 10 minutes to set up that blog so I can vouch that this theme is intuitive and quite easy to use and edit – even if you’re not a techie!
Here are other features of the Aggregate Theme:
- Unlimited color schemes
- Dozens of fonts
- Automated Thumbnail Resizing
- Custom widgets
- Opera, Netscape, Safari, WordPress 3.0 compatible
- Gallery Section
- IE8 + IE7 + IE6 compatible
- PSD files
- Threaded comments
- Optional blog structure
- Widget ready sidebars
- Theme options page
- Smooth tabless design
- Valid HTML + CSS
- Advertisement ready
- Gravatar ready
Aside from these cool features, all themes from Elegant themes have the following advanced features (which I also pointed out in my post on the LeanBiz Elegant Theme).
- ePanel theme options – makes it easier to tweak your blog via the advanced theme options page. It greatly enhances your user experience because you have control over your theme and its various settings.
- Shortcodes collection – the large collection of shortcodes makes it easier to design and organize your posts and create beautiful and complex layouts.
- Page templates – Elegant themes have pre-made layouts and utilities which you can apply to each individual page, transforming its looks and functions to create new and unique forms of content.
- Complete localization – the theme has been localized for easy translation
- Support and updates – as long as you’re a member of Elegant Themes, your theme will always be compatible with the latest version of wordpress and have access to tech support

How to add the google +1 button on top or simply how to add it then.

hi borris, you need to access the custom functions file to do that. i still haven’t explored the codes of elegant themes that much – yet (except to lengthen the number of characters in the excerpts). so far, i am contented with the way things are going there even without changing the template codes so i’m just letting it be for now.

I’m just trying to change this part as well, the excerpt overall, as my posts are coming in full length on the home page. Where did you edit your excerpt info?
Thanks in advance
Techie She says
i use StudioPress themes right now but if I remember it right, I tweaked the functions file of the Aggregate theme to edit the excerpt info.

I might try this one out She. Di ko pa kasi magawa-gawa yung layout ng WAHMO.INFO ko. But need to find out how to get rid of the read more feature. I prefer the full article length at the homepage. 😀
Love the Contest Fan’s pink background! 😉

hi nancy. with elegant themes, you have the option to choose whether you’ll just show some teasers in the homepage or do the usual blog structure thingy. i most especially like their custom templates for pages (contact, portfolio, etc) but will take advantage of that when i get to publish a lot of posts already..

Hi there, I know this is an old thread but I am having problems with the Adgregate theme and was looking for help. I can’t change any colors and my color options box is stuck open and I can’t even close it. Any advice? Thanks

Hi Mitch. There has been many changes, both in WordPress and Aggregate theme, from the time that post was published in 2011 to now. I can’t give you any advice because I have been focusing on Genesis themes nowadays but I’m sure, the support theme of Elegant themes will be glad to help. Good luck!
