Did you receive a call from the toll free number 888-602-2073? It probably is a spam so don’t answer it.
Last weekend, I bought a phone from Verizon and haven’t given out my number to anyone except my husband yet. This morning, I was surprised to receive a call from 888-602-2073. I looked up that number online and had learned that many new users of Verizon were also complaining about that number. Like me, they also had their phone for a few days and others had not given their phone numbers to others too.
If you are using a pre-paid plan and opted for the daily plan where you get charged once you accept or make a call, it probably is just a ploy to make you use up your pre-paid credit. I am not saying that the people who are behind this ploy work in Verizon but it seems that they easily can get hold of the list of new users of pre-paid phones.
Do not answer that call from 888-602-2073. Do not call back either because when you do, they will just deny that they made a call to your phone.
