Have you heard of Express Scripts Program? It’s a healthcare system middleman that acts an intermediary between pharmacies providing the health care services and the employers and health plans who pay for the medication. Recently, it didn’t renew its contract with Walgreens to continue as part of its pharmacy provider network.
This issue between Walgreens and Express Scripts has caused more than a quarter of a million U.S. military personnel, family members, retirees and others in the Department of Defense Tricare pharmacy benefits program, and their supporters to sign petitions demanding access to Walgreens pharmacies under the Tricare pharmacy program in December. Tricare is the is the health and prescription drug program for America’s military service men and women and it is one of the employers and organizations that are being serviced by Express Scripts.
To help ease the burden of those who are affected by this issue, Walgreens offered a special discount on annual membership for Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens. For $10 a year, a family membership covers everyone in the member’s immediate family, including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and pets. Individuals may join too for $5 and save on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications.They can also get discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizer and diabetic supplies.

very well said sis. walgreens is one of the top pharmacy and even if express script won’t have them, walgreens still be walgreens, it’s the custmer got affected as they trying to save with their medication and insurance, paano nlng hehehe
