Your site’s navigation bar is important. It’s like a GPS that aids your users in easily finding important pages of your website.
When creating a navigation bar, try to avoid using Flash because it’s harder for mobile devices to show it. You can be as creative as you want with your design but make sure that all the fonts are readable. The hierarchy of the links should be logical and as organized as possible.
Too much links or choices will also create analysis paralysis (meaning: if you give people too many options, they often choose to take none of them and walk away) so try to include only the important links in your nav bar. There’s also this “three click rule” that you must consider. It’s based on studies which showed that most users will not click more than three links to get to the information they want so try to make pages on your website reachable within three clicks.
